about the Woodbridge Inn

woodbridge inn vermont bed and breakfast in vt

The Woodbridge Inn Bed and Breakfast was built in the 1800s and is situated on top of the banks of the Ottauquechee River.  Surrounded by mountain views, this historic Vermont inn makes for a perfect romantic getaway or a cozy home base for day trips to the mountains for skiing, hiking, and sightseeing.

During certain times of year, the inn can be rented as a full private house rental. This option gives you full access to the kitchen and all 6 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Perfect for group vacations, family reunions, and weekend escapes.

Justin and Alyssa Helms purchased the bed and breakfast from the amazing Kristi and Dan Audette in 2019 and have been working hard to deliver the same wonderful experience guests have enjoyed for years. Kristi and Dan left big shoes to fill, but our passion for delivering a 5 star service and ensuring you enjoy your vacation drives us to do everything we can to exceed your expectations.

When renting by the room, we will be at the home to welcome you and serve you a full breakfast. Also there to welcome you, is our “Inn Mate” – a sweet and friendly golden mix named Bentley.  If anyone in your party isn’t comfortable with dogs, let the innkeepers know and we will do our best to minimize your exposure to him (although most guests try to take him home with them because he is so well mannered and loveable!).

The Woodbridge Inn features six cozy sleeping rooms, each with fresh new bedding, unique views, and historical furnishings.  All of our rooms offer private baths with showers and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.

The back deck offers a hot tub and seating that overlooks the river across our rolling lawn for a true Vermont experience – especially the seasonal views of fall foliage above the river and up the mountainside.   Downtown Woodstock, VT, the Shire Town of Windsor County, is five miles down the road and boasts period architecture, walking trails that make it a true walking town, and seasonal features that celebrate old fashioned New England charm.

Our Woodstock, Vermont inn was featured in the Official Guide to American Small Inns (9th Ed) as “Vermont tranquility with yesterday’s charm.”
